THE TEAM
Dr. Wendy Schauer, is the founder of Community Chiropractic, P.S. and Abundant Fitness Center, Inc. She is the author of, "The 7 Steps To Amazing Health!"
Dr Schauer is a 1991 graduate of Western States Chiropractic College. She has earned her fellowship in chiropractic pediatrics from The International Chiropractic Pediatric Association - I.C.P.A. - (earning specialized training in treating pregnant women and infant children). Dr. Schauer was the first female chiropractor in the world to earn the title of R.K.C. (Russian Kettlebell Certification). She was the co-founder of the Eastern Pierce County Chiropractic Association and the former president of the South Puget Sound Chiropractic Association. Dr. Schauer has been a practicing chiropractor for over two decades and has had her practice in Olympia, WA for over 16 years.
Dr. Wendy Schauer utilizes many different chiropractic techniques depending on the needs of her patients. "No two people are alike. So why should we be using the same techniques for everybody?" asks Dr. Schauer.
Marles BlackBird, LMP has been a massage practitioner in Washington State for over a decade. She earned her massage certification at The Seattle Massage School in Fife, WA. The foundation of Marles' training is in Swedish and Deep Tissue massage techniques. Marles also incorporates Lomi Lomi, Russian, Shiatsu and Polarity techniques into her work with clients (depending upon the need of the client). Marles also does "Treatment Massage" to help clients reduce recovery time from myofascial injury. Thus working to help prevent chronic injury from developing. Marles works to bring a balanced approach of therapeutic massage to help clients regain health and wellness.
Jennifer Lehmann, LMP received her training at The Alexandar School Of Natural Therapeutics in Tacoma, WA. Jennifer has been a licensed massaged practitioner since 2006. Jennifer believes in the healing influence that massage can have on the body. She specializes in relaxation, medical massage, and injury treatment. Jennifer listens to your concerns and motivations for seeking care and treatment and builds a plan around the care you need. Her work is focused, gentle, and oriented to your goals.
Ryan "Jake" Jacobs has been involved with physical culture since taking up sports at a young age. Weightlifting and movement training have been his passion for 20 years. He started training professionally in 2005, focusing on athletes. For the past few years, Jake has made the transition to training the general population and even helping people rehab injuries post-therapy. Learning the benefits of Kettlebell training has allowed him to bring exciting strength and health to people of all ages and abilities. Becoming a certified R.K.C. in February 2010 has solidified his coaching technique and opened up new methods of achieving strength and vitality. With many tools available, including a full set of Kettlebells, Jake can help you achieve any physical goal you have.

Dr. Wendy Receives the 2005 Women of Achievement Award!
November 2, 2005. Olympia, WA, – The Honorable Governor of Washington State, Mrs. Christine Gregoire on Wednesday presented Dr. Wendy M. Schauer, DC, RKC with the award for this year’s “Woman of Influence” at a ceremony by the YWCA.
Presented once each year, the YWCA Women of Achievement Awards are given to women in the community who have made significant contributions within specific arenas as a volunteer or through their career.
The YWCA panel announced it had received over 20 essays nominating Dr. Wendy for the 2005 “Woman of Influence” award. The distinction resulted from Dr. Wendy’s efforts to bring health and self-confidence to women in the community of Olympia Washington.
